Maggi Noodles to Be Exported to Other Countries

No comments:
The Bombay High Court Tuesday allowed the Indian arm of multinational food giant Nestle to export Maggi noodles to other countries.

The move came after Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) informed Justices V M Kanade and B P Colabawalla that if Nestle was claiming that its product is safe then it could go ahead with the export.

Justifying its stand, FSSAI lawyer Mehmood Pracha said, “An impression was being given that Nestle was the only company being targeted.”However, he made clear that action has been initiated as well against three more companies which have exceeded the permissible limit of lead. “It has been widely covered in news also,” he mentioned.

Nestlé’s counsel Iqbal Chagla thereafter sought a clarification in the order regarding the export while he informed that 17,000 crore packets of Maggi had been incinerated till now and another 11,000 crore packets are in the stage of recall. Chagla said the entire process of recall will be over soon while seeking an extension on the time limit to complete the whole process.

The case has been posted on July 14 as it will be heard finally. Both Nestle and FSSAI have filed their affidavits.
Maggi Noodles to Be Exported to Other Countries
The High Court had earlier said Nestle was any way in the process of recalling its variants and FSSAI could initiate action on Nestle after giving a 72-hour notice to the company.

Nestle had earlier argued that CEO of FSSAI, while passing the order on June 5, had acted in an ‘emergent, drastic and arbitrary’fashion while raising doubts over his jurisdiction. The food regulator had not served any notice before passing the order of ban, Nestle continued its argument.

“Before asking them to ban the product, there ought to have been a mention of injury or risk to health by the company,” Chagla argued. Therefore, he pointed, merely by claiming there was a quality issue, the order could not have been passed.

He reminded that the company has been operating in India for 30 years besides having a worldwide reach. It’s a worrisome for its credibility as children are being told that they are consuming poison, Chagla stated.

The FSSAI ordered Nestle India to withdraw all nine variants of Maggi instant noodles from the market terming them ‘unsafe and hazardous’for human consumption. The company has been given 15 days to reply to a show-cause notice asking why approval for all these products should not be withdrawn.

A manufacturer of Nestle products told The Indian Express on anonymity that around 11,000 employees had been rendered jobless after all six factories of Nestle India shut down.

“Around 27,020 tonnes of Maggi has been destroyed. The FSSAI should have selected four centers two in India and two abroad and conducted tests. On finding the product unsafe, they should have asked us to leave. Nestle is the only multinational which has invested and has been manufacturing products in India. All others outsource,” he said.

iPhone 6 Blew Up and The User Files FIR

No comments:
An iPhone 6 user in Gurgaon has alleged that his two-day old handset heated up and exploded during a call. But he escaped without injuries since he was using the hands-free mode.
It's the first such case reported in India since the launch of iPhone 6 here in October 2014. An Applerepresentative said the company was looking into the Gurgaon incident and it hadn't previously received any such complaint about the iPhone 6 in India.
But it's not unheard of either. According to media reports in the United States, a man in Long Island had complained this March that his iPhone 6 burst into flames in his pocket, causing third degree burns.
iPhone blew up

The Gurgaon incident allegedly happened on June 20 but came to light on Tuesday after the user — Kishan Yadav, a restaurateur — filed a police complaint and an FIR was registered.
Yadav claimed he bought an iPhone 6 from a leading mobile shop at Galleria market for Rs 60,000 on June 18 — a grey-coloured 64GB version. He thanked his stars that when the phone blew up a couple of days later, he was using the hands-free mode.
Yadav claimed he was in his car on MG Road talking to a friend whom he was about to meet when he noticed sparks in the phone. He said he threw the phone out of the car when he found the handset had become very hot and it exploded as soon as it hit the ground. "My face could have got burn as the phone exploded in a matter of seconds. When I threw the phone, the call was on and the battery was around 70%," said Yadav.
FIR filed for iPhone blown up issue

On Monday, Yadav took the phone to the shop he bought it from and was redirected to the Apple service centre. He claimed its staff suggested that he deposit the phone with them and they would get back to him with an update. Later, he filed a police complaint.

Teenage Girl Messes Up with Police at the Station
The breaking news, a teenage girl shouting and crying at the police station, on the news channel TV9 is going viral on the social media. The girl from Bhopal rejects, rather hates, to go with her mother home.
The Teenage girl looks scary and angry returning home. She screams and cries out louder at police, demanding them to allow her to stay right there in the police station. Police, in any manner, are unable to stop her from creating a huge annoyance as the situation seems, or the nuisance as the police consider, or the inconvenience as it called formally.
The girl cries out angrily at her mother and claims to the police that his mother is treating her very badly, harassing her and had fried the skin on the left wrist as well, showing the wrist for proof.
The police strive a lot, as seen a lot more even, to send her home with her mother but the girl refuses to go. She strikes back and shouts at police and media, and tries free her hands from her mother.
After a great struggle, anyhow, police finds her way to home with her mother.
A big relief the police feel!
