Global Survey: Hyderabad is The Best City to Live in India


      The city of pearls Hyderabad becomes the best city to live in the country, as per a global survey, pushing behind India’s most desirable business centers like Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi.

        Based on the standard of living, Hyderabad ranks at 138th position worldwide in a list of 230 cities, According to Mercer’s, a consultancy firm, Quality of Living Report-2015. Consecutively for the second year, Austria’s capital Vienna wears the crown again.
      Besides Hyderabad, the list has seven Indian cities — Pune at 145, Bangalore at 146, Chennai at 151, Mumbai at 152, New Delhi at 154 and Kolkata at 160.
      The parameters considered for the report include social and political environment, public services, natural environment, medical and health care, and recreation facilities among others.
      Over time, because of its improved options for international standard of living and a fine choice to pick reputable English speaking schools and international schools, Hyderabad has become a city choice, Mercer reported.
In addition to this, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is located at just 22 kms from the city and offers an awesome number of connected flights, which improves its ranking on the global list for its outstanding services.
       Considerable population, increased in Mumbai and New Delhi in the recent years, has increased existing problems, which means access to air pollution, clean water and traffic congestion, Ruchika Pal, Mercer India Practice Leader, mentioned.
      On the global arena, Vienna is followed by Zurich, Auckland, Munich, Vancouver, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Copenhagen and Sydney.
Bangui of Central African Republic and Baghdad of Iraq were rated as the last two cities on the list.
      It is worthy to note that the survey found that most of the Indian cities are safer than the cities in South Asia.
