Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is known for its various tasty chicken tenders. A recent issue on Thursday would be as like as adding a new item, other than chicken, in the menu of KFC.
A guy from California bangs the facebook with the picture post on 12th June showing an oddly shaped cutlet that he announces to have received in a three-piece meal from a Los Angeles KFC. As of 19th June, the post reached surprisingly above one lakh and thirty seven thousand shares.
25 years old Devorise Dixon said on Facebook that he bit into the unsavory-looking morsel and found it had a rubbery texture. Dixon told a local radio show, the Randy Economy Show, on June 13 that he has taken it back to the KFC restaurant where he had purchased it and the manager told him the fried lump was a rat, apologized and offered him a free meal.
But the KFC admits that the object in question is just a piece of breaded chicken and that the guy Dixon is misleading the public. KFC said, "A customer has made a serious claim against KFC and refuses to cooperate in the investigation," in a statement sent to The Huffington Post. "Based on this, and the fact that he refuses to allow anyone to see the product, we are left to believe that he intended to deceive the public with this hoax and we are considering all options," KFC continued.
“Dixon did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent via Facebook, and refused to talk directly or through an attorney though we made several attempts to get in touch with him,” the company added.
KFC spokesperson Rodrigo Coronel told HuffPost in an email that their chicken tenders often vary in size and shape and this just happened to be an oddly shaped one. “The hoax was not a viral marketing campaign,” Coronel insisted, “and the company is taking the allegations very seriously,” he disclosed.
